1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Senior Dog Journal application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SEMA Communications Ltd. ("Company", "we", "our", or "us").

2. Description of Service

Senior Dog Journal is a mobile application that provides:

Health logging and tracking for senior dogs
Medication management and reminders
Voice-to-text health logging
AI-powered symptom analysis
Quality of life assessments
Report generation for veterinary visits
Caregiver sharing features

3. Medical Disclaimer

THIS IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT:

The App is for informational and organizational purposes only
AI symptom analysis provides general guidance, NOT medical diagnoses
Never delay seeking veterinary care based on App recommendations
Always consult a licensed veterinarian for health decisions
In emergencies, contact an emergency veterinary clinic immediately

We are not liable for any harm resulting from reliance on information provided by the App instead of professional veterinary advice.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Keep your login credentials secure
Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
Be responsible for all activity under your account

4.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Abuse or misuse the App
Harass other users or our staff

5. Subscription and Payments

5.1 Free and Premium Tiers

The App offers both free and premium subscription options. Premium features require a paid subscription.

5.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Google Play or Apple App Store
Prices are displayed in your local currency
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid charges

5.3 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Google Play or Apple according to their policies. We offer a 14-day free trial for new premium subscribers.

5.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before price changes affect their subscription.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including:

Dog profiles and photos
Health logs and notes
Voice recordings and transcripts

6.2 License Grant

By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services.

6.3 Prohibited Content

You may not upload content that:

Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
Infringes on intellectual property rights
Contains malware or malicious code
Violates the privacy of others

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, and content (excluding user content), is owned by SEMA Communications Ltd. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the App
Reverse engineer or decompile the App
Use our trademarks without permission
Create derivative works based on the App

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services:

OpenAI - For voice transcription and AI analysis
Supabase - For data storage and authentication
RevenueCat - For subscription management

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI recommendations
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SEMA Communications Ltd. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Dispute Resolution

11.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where SEMA Communications Ltd. is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Email to registered users
Updated date on this page

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SEMA Communications Ltd. regarding the App.
